Welcome to our website. We aim to provide a range of information that will be of use to parents in deciding whether our nursery meets both you and your child's daycare needs.

Orchardgrove Nursery is situated in the centre of Paisley on Orchard Street - just off Causeyside Street. We occupy a substantial two storey custom renovated building with garden grounds to the side and rear which are fully enclosed. We offer childcare places for up to 77 children from 6 weeks to school age.

It is our aim to provide the highest standard of childcare. We consistantly reach this aim by employing staff of the highest calibre who undergo a thorough recruitment process. We also staff above national care standards and have an excellent staff retention rate.

The nursery is open from Monday to Friday, opening at 7:30am and closing at 6:00pm, including bank holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year. We only close for the two bank holidays at Christmas and the two bank holidays at New Year.

We provide a stimulating environment and tailored activites for each child's interests in their journey from birth to transition into school. Through individual observation, we plan for each child's development using current curriculum documentation. We follow Birth to Three: supporting our youngest children and the Scottish guidlines on Curriculum for Excellence.

Our cook provides fresh home cooked lunches and nutritious snacks in line with the Scottish Executive's guidelines.

We recognise the importance of building a long trusting relationship with each of our children and their families, starting with a flexible settling in policy which caters for all circumstances. We aim to involve parents in all aspects of our nursery from trips to meal ideas.  

We have a secure door entry system in place and operate a password system to ensure a safe environment is provided for all of the children in our care.

We are members of the NDNA (National Day Nurseries Association).
